It’s a showcase for artwork made on site in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in northeastern Alaska.
Artists from around the nation have contributed paintings, drawings, and photographs of this beautiful and endangered area.
The Refuge is not a “desolate wasteland,” as development advocates claim. The Arctic Refuge Art website (like its predecessor, Artists of the Arctic Refuge) is a reminder that the Refuge and its coastal plain are ecosystems worthy of continued protection and preservation.
